11th Halloween
I think that's right? 11 Halloweens with kids. It's a joy and exhausting.
This year I was relieved that Liam still enjoyed the magic of dressing up and getting candy while Dylan experienced his first time out that he really understood what was happening. Jacob was living his dream where normal life takes a back seat to zombies and haunted houses.
Dylan would knock on the door and immediately say TRICKS OR TREAT to the closed door. Liam was very bothered by this, of course, and would correct him at every house. Jacob isn't really into candy for the sake of it and was very selective, often opting not to take anything which, sort of hilariously, left the giver feeling inadequate. Oh, too many life lessons! We just tried to be friendly and have fun and I think it was an really great time.
Now, if only someone would break in and steal all the Halloween decorations and replace them with Christmas decorations....
