July is all about staying cool by the water.

Dylan and Jacob have really progressed with their swimming lessons. When we went to Palm Springs at the end of May, Jacob couldn't touch the bottom of the pool and Dylan was wearing a life vest. Now, both boys are jumping in and doing spinseand grabbing toys feom the bottom of the pool. Liam has been lured out to swim with us a bunch of times and he is really great about playing games with his little brothers. He has such a good heart. The boys and I visited the zoo. We saw a Komodo Dragon eat a (dead) guinea pig like it was a donut. It was so impressive. We spent a night at Mission Bay Resort and saw fireworks and did a lot of snacking at the pool. Jacob and Dylan both had a crush on a little friend...it was really cute. We have been lucky to take some hikes together at Torrey Pines and we did the Del Mar River walk yesterday. Everything is paired with ice cream or pancakes and that is ok! The heatwave continues so we're off to the pool again today. Hopefully it will break so we can do some adventures downtown like the zoo at night and Balboa Park. We're making the most of these last two weeks of summer vacation 2024!
