Summer ’23 was in with a busted ceiling, Out with a hurricane

Summer was far too short this year. But, BUT!! It was one extra bonus hurricane day longer than it was supposed to be! The kids thought the hurricane was THE BEST DAY EVER and Meh, pretty boring. It was wet and wild but our area was mostly unscathed. School was cancelled though so we went to Balboa Park to see an IMAX film and some science exhibits. And popped into the zoo for an ice cream and watching some reptiles! The kids all started today. Liam's bus was extra late but he was a trooper. Jacob was a good big brother and held Dylan's hand and walked him to his new classroom. Jacob's the BMOC this year! Dylan got ro see his best friend and his former teacher so he had plenty to smile about. And it was a pretty night for a walk around the neighborhood.

Yes, we will have weeks of beautiful weather. But now that school has started and those days of adventure-donuting (patent pending) are confined to the weekend, we're all a tad melancholy. It was a really great vacation. Here's hoping this will be an exciting school year with MINIMAL drama. (I know there's gonna be plenty of drama.)
