It's been more of a beach month but we still did some spooky stuff

Weird monsoon weather has kept us in a fog or burning up at 90°. We have been to the beach with our friends, once in the fog and twice on a blue sky days.

Dylan's first wiggly tooth is still flapping and the dentist said that all four of his front teeth are wiggly! He's too nervous to yank one out.

Chris had a big birthday! 

Our big weekend away has been postponed due to kid illness.  Everyone was doing better and now we're sick again a week later. 

We visited a little pumpkin themed carnival with sketchy rides and bouncy houses that probably made us sick.

And Dylan had a field trip to an animal center which I chaperoned. My experience shushing many children came in very handy.

Now we have to get a great big pumpkin to carve and we'll be all set for Halloween!

Jacob's weird costume arrived from China and Liam has been invited to his first teen party next weekend! 

I need to buckle down and make goodie bags for 15 first graders and I'm trying to convinced Dylan to pick a costume that isn't an emoji because how the heck am I going to make that happen? He literally wants to be this

It's pronounced "oh-whoa" and it's his favorite thing. He draws them, plays games with them, he has tagged Chris's dusty car with OwO s.

Pending: a trip to a pumpkin patch or Julian to get some apple pie.
