Big Bear Lake June/July 2022

We spent last week at 6,720 feet above sea level in the tall lodge pole pines of San Bernardino forest.

Big Bear Lake looked rather different from our December trip. Instead of snow, we had a heat wave! We shopped the village, ate junk food, splashed around in the hot tub, gazed at the stars, hiked for 1/4 mile (before an epic meltdown), rolled 76 pinecones down a steep hill, went to the local zoo (another meltdown), and visited neighboring Lake Arrowhead. We went home on a road called Rim of the World.

Good, bad, and ugly, the trip may have been 51% worth it. At least I took these pictures of the good moments!
