Balboa Park, I have missed thee!

 I was happy to be in the park today. Only our second visit during Covid, it went a zillion time better than our first. We all felt safer being vaccinated and it was a sleepy Wednesday. I was wistful for the days when I worked there and the scariest thing I had to deal with was Free Tuesday crowds and rude patrons. No Covid in 2007! Memories.

We did suffer some massive disappointment when we yanked on the doors for the Natural History Museum and then read CLOSED WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. Non-profits are not doing well. We fed some pennies to the big fountain and wished for safer times and many future visits.

We pivoted to the Museum of Us of which we are now members! And then we ate chips with some very bold ducks at the reflection pond.

We agreed we'd cut our loses and come back another day for the Nat and get ice cream instead of chips.
