Dylan loves to have surprisingly deep conversations with me.

Liam is prone to lecturing while, with Jacob it's hard to get even a response, but Dylan asks me questions and then listens!

And it's a lot of pillow talk. When I snuggle with him at bedtime, I don't have to compete with the perhaps preferred attention of his brothers or the more interesting tablet screen.

Tonight, Dylan popped off the pillow because he heard a strange noise. It was the electric toothbrush.

He said, It's lasting a long time!

I said, yes, Jacob is brushing for two minutes like the dentist wants him to. And I know you are great about brushing for two alphabet songs, I said.

Yes, I do one song on top and one song one the bottom, but I start with the bottom. The same with flossing.

Or. I have an idea for learning! We could find out how much I weighed!

Yup, sounds like math to me! Should I get that balancing scale to see which things weigh more?

Oh, yes! (Buy it. Now! face) I love you Mama!

Maybe the only questions he cares to hear the answers to are will you read me books and will you sleep in my bed, but he is waiting attentively for the answers.

He's such a sweet little boy and it's not so terrible that he's home with me all day. I felt like I missed so much when the boys were at school. Especially when Dylan, my baby, was away for the long mornings. Now, I can steal a cuddle or a kiss as he runs for the playroom to join his brothers.
