Petting Zoo fun!

 In the mountains of East County in Valley Center is a nut farm with a barnyard petting zoo! Where for 2 years we visited every month to take advantage of cute arts and crafts shows and seasonal festivals like pumpkin picking, we haven't been in a year. 

For children missing their Kitty, the hour we spent feeding corn to chickens and goats was better than a trip to a real zoo. Liam and Jacob were the most brave and delighted in having the critters lick and peck their hands while Dylan was more reserved. He did have a great time retrieving dropped corn and delivering it to his brothers.

I suspect we'll be headed back that way within the week.
