Beach buddies

We've been mostly avoiding the beaches due to covid-19 and an influx of tourists. But with summer school out, we decided to spend a few mornings last week at Torrey Pines. We go during the week, before 10 and we only stay an hour (or until Mom gets freaked out as the beach fills up) . Then we enjoy some special car snacks and watch the waves. We even saw pelicans diving in to catch fish! 

We're going to head out there tomorrow to get our fix before the weekend swarms.

 There have been strong rip currents this week and I haven't let the kids play in the water. Fingers crossed that has passed. Liam loves to jump through the waves. The rhythmic pounding is soothing to him, and I love the sound and the sweeping view of the cliffs. Jacob and Dylan are very into building rock piles. Something for everyone!
