And some nights, we go to sleep gently.

Being roommates is a blessing and a curse for Jacob and Dylan. As the closest in age, these two puppies are most commonly found conjointly playing tablet on the sofa, shoulders/hips/legs pressed together. Or, Dylan is punching Jacob. That's not a typo. Our youngest is a rhinoceros with a temper.

Tonight I peeled myself from a Jacob snuggle to crawl into Dylan's bed as he was crying in jealousy. A moment later, Jacob wriggled in between us and they both fell asleep while I alternated head pettings and back rubs.

I was thrilled to open Liam's door and interrupted him playing with his stuffed animals.

I want to savor these moments as they will not last forever.
