Discovering Hidden San Diego

There's a cool website that reveals hidden secrets, haunted places and marvelous discoveries in each city in California. We're taking the Hidden San Diego challenge!
This weekend we went in search of a hidden cemetery in our Carmel Valley neighborhood. GPS brought us to a church parking lot. After snooping around the buildings, I found a very steep trail that led down to a small cemetery with overgrown grass and a few visible head stones. I decided it wasn't worth the broken ankle to clamber down there and I will claim that we found it!
We did walk a dusty trail with many butterflies and wild flowers. Dylan was particularly enamored by their beauty.
