Day 9: It's abundantly clear I'm not cut out for homeschooling.
It feels like an eternity since I did anything normal, but I suppose it's only been a little more than a week since we started our family lock down.
All the boys seem happy to be home. They've been surprisingly adaptive to having a schedule to include "learning".
Jacob's teacher is blowing up my inbox with new websites and apps, Dylan's teacher is making videos every day, and every museum, aquarium, or parenting website I've ever visited is sending links to "activities for keeping the kids busy".
What? They have tablets, TV, a bazillion toys, and the equivalent content of a craft store in my kitchen cupboards. Let's give them a chance to experience a little boredom!
It's a very tense time. Until the wine is delivered on Monday, I'm rather worried about parental sanity. The kids? They're good!
We made a Spring garden out of coffee filters, popsicle sticks and paper. May I please be off the hook from distance learning? It's a Saturday! Stop emailing daily agendas! Slow. Your. Roll. Teachers. Let us catch our breath!
