June!
I love June. I'm biased.
We got ourselves into La Jolla today.
It was the kind of day I wished I had a chair and a picnic cooler instead of impatient little comrades, each clamoring for a different thing. The waves were silver and the sun was just hot enough.
But I guess I wasn't meant to sit on beaches.
Instead, I was destined to march little men up steep hills, buy many flavors of gelato, root pennies from my purse, quickly negotiate a jewelry purchase before they noticed it was something for myself, bolster flagging spirits, bribe, wheedle and scold, and hand out lots of snacks.
But that is apparently the perfect recipe for an afternoon by the sea. I'm left wanting more yet feeling very full.
