Leopard sharks and sea horses!
We did it. We're members of the aquarium. The boys had an amazing time there today. And we get 10 % off in the gift shop and cafe. I mean, the savings alone on ice-cream and shark toys is going to be staggering!
I left my phone behind so there are no pictures, but imagine a dark corridor of tanks and three boys each running towards a different fish, insisting "LOOK! JELLYFISH! SEA STARS! AN EEL!"
The sun was shining, and there was a 20 million dollar view of La Jolla Cove and the Scripps pier stretching out into the blue water.
We pressed a penny (Leopard shark, naturally) and Biggest Brother was so sweet and funny with Pickle. Cubby looooooved the place and found many exhibits with buttons to smash.
Next time, I will remember my camera, but I won't forget the happy faces from today, messy from eating chips under a summer sky, laughing as they played and learned.
We are museum people!
