I forgot it was daylight savings!

What does it matter that I'm up at 4 instead of 5? Someone will be awake soon enough. I'll just blog.

It is still sinking in that we live here! We know that you can't run from your problems, but you can deal with them under a sunny sky with the ocean nearby. Or at the local shops with freaking palm trees! Yesterday was actually a day of rain and yet it still seemed great to me; I learned the sound of rain dropping from palm fronds and splatting down from Spanish tile. The orange flowers in our yard were drinking and everyone was feeling nap-y.

The unpacking continues with the same fervor as the packing.  We are still missing some essentials, but everyone has a proper bed, a rug and clean clothes in drawers. There's a sofa and video games (kids needs: CHECK).  The kitchen is put together enough to make coffee and heat frozen Trader Joe's appetizers. We have cars and school starts tomorrow for the Big Guy.
Today the sun will come out and we'll go to the beach! Hunting down a hammer and sheets for Mama's bed can wait. I think we're gonna like it here.
