Movie Date Night with the Kids

We saw The Jungle Book movie yesterday. For real! All 5 of us! It was as chaotic as you'd imagine: Cubby hadn't been to a movie since he was 6 weeks old, Bub had his headphones and was nervous, and Pickle had never been to a movie.
But we did it and everyone loved the movie!

After all that popcorn, we still managed to convince the troops to head to a restaurant so Mama wouldn't have to cook on her birthday. We had the covered patio all to ourselves  (it was raining) and that was perfect. The boys could be silly and move around (and stab tortilla chips with a fork) and Chris and I got to eat.

Cake, cake, cake for dessert at home....it was an awesome birthday!
