Harvard Natural History Museum

Yesterday we had the most wonderful day with Bub.  We visited the Natural History Museum!

Four years ago, when I was hefting around the big belly that was Bub, I was taking a course in the museum and while walking through the exhibit halls, I promised said belly that I would someday bring him back.  It took a while, and having a new big belly as a reminder of my promise, but we made the visit.

Bub was exceptionally well-behaved and we were so very proud of him.  He loved the fossils!  Here is the kronosaurus.

But nothing quite compared to the gift shop and the many awesome dino toys!  He chose a new giganotasauraus and she visited the rest of the museum with us.

This is her mountain home: a meteor!

Perhaps the most significant lesson I've learned about being a parent is that you need to adjust your expectations.  If I wanted to get back to the mineral hall, I would be back with a 3 year old and a fierce, plastic toy.  Meh, it works for me!
