3D/4D Ultrasound at 29 weeks

This is what is going on from the outside at 29 weeks.

While THIS is what is going on INSIDE!

Because nothing that ever happens to me is without some element of drama, this ultrasound appointment was no different.  Let's just say, this was a "recreational" appointment in that it was through a private company and we had to pay for the service.  And it wasn't that cheap.  Therefore, I expected some deliciously posh experience awaiting us when we got into Goldenview Ultrasound in Brookline.  Errrrr, OPPOSITE!

The office was tiny and not so posh.  I immediately registered that it was also freezing.  Like, arctic.  Like, not much warmer than the 10 degree weather that was blowing outside.  Apparently, the heat was broken!!  And I got to yank up my shirt and have cold gel dumped on my big belly!  One would think that my appointment would have been rescheduled or discounted in some way.  One would be wrong.

I got over my discomfort when I saw this little face on the screen.  Here are some of the wonderful images of  baby.

Baby is seen snuggling up against the placenta and the umbilical cord is wrapped up on his belly.  It was so magical to see his face.  I think that he looks just like Bub!  What do you think?
