Liam continues to amaze me with all the things he's learning to do.

Today was totally crazy. We were kicked out of the house so that our kitchen counter top could be repaired. We drove up to Grammy's and Liam destroyed her house in about 45 minutes. Refusing to nap, it was back in the car to drive around for an hour which brought us to Framingham and some shopping for a much needed gate for the bottom of the stairs. (Did we mention that Liam can make it to the top of the stairs in a blink of an unsupervised eye?) Liam was not pleased to wake up and learn that he had errands to do but a big bag of cheese puffs was offered and Mama bought herself 20 minutes in Babies R Us.

Off to Kohl's for a return and some general purchasing so Liam was coerced to ride in the very expensive, custom baby carrier that he never wants to go in. That lasted 10 minutes before Mama was pushing him around in a clunky and most likely filthy shopping cart while still wearing the baby carrier. More cheese puffs.

Finally back at the ranch, Liam has excess energy to burn off by doing laps pushing his dump truck around and scaring the fur off Kitty who never decides in time which way Liam is going to turn. Fortunately, Liam eats about a half a pound of peas to make up for the dietary indiscretions of the early part of the day.

A "calming" bath (with far too many toys and trying to drink the bath water) finds us upstairs trying to settle down towards sleep. This is Liam's cue to practice more walking. He wanted to do laps between the chair and Mama without really slowing down at each turn. This led to many near concussions as he drunkenly stumbled and plunged near hard plastic toys. A new game was also invented where by he would pull a stuffed bunny through the crib slats and Mama would tickle his face with it. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

Baby is sleeping. Mama is enjoying some wine and the rumble of baby laundry going 'round in the dryer.
