Happy New Year! 2010 is wonderful so far!

2009 was such an exciting and busy time in our lives. We moved into our beautiful new home, renovated our kitchen, welcomed our amazing son into our lives and have so busy ever since trying to figure him out! We enjoyed such intense love and also struggled greatly. Thank you to all of you who were so very generous to our family, with your love, your patience and with all of the gifts and time you shared with us. We couldn't have done it without you.

We have had a busy week since Christmas enjoying "quiet" family time. Liam has developed so much in recent days. He is rocking on his hands and knees and experimenting with pulling up on his crib and the other furniture. We've been doing more baby proofing because it seems like our little monkey will be tearing around the house within a couple of weeks. He did sleep through the night ONCE and we're still waiting for the encore performance.

We think that he said his first word on Saturday: "MA!" He scrunched up his face and balled up his fists and really struggled to push out the exact right sound. "MA!" Awesome! We are hearing a lot of babble and he's experimenting with lots of gurgles and yelps. I'm still waiting to hear "MA" again, though.

Liam continues to love all of his new toys. I tried to snap some pictures of him enjoying his playthings and wearing a few of his cute new outfits. Here are those images. Enjoy!
